Then this is the job for you!<br/>  <br/> <strong>What will you do? </strong></p><p>As a Senior Data Engineer with the opportunity to become Solution Designer in the Finance Analytics domain you would be part of DevOps teams designing, creating, and maintaining solutions based on the MS Azure technology stack and the MS Big Data Cluster (hybrid) stack depending on information asset classification. In doing so, we as IT partner up with our colleagues from the various departments within Vattenfall. The tasks and projects are varied and so are the data, the use cases and the technology. For instance our solutions have a direct impact on financial steering, planning and forecasting of Vattenfall.</p><p>Within the team, the Senior Data Engineer in the Finance Analytics domain is a front runner who is in continuous dialogue with the experts and solution designers in Vattenfall’s various departments to build, maintain and optimize state of the art analytics solutions. The success of the Data Engineer is integral to the success of Vattenfall in making fossil free living possible within one generation.</p><p><br/> Your tasks and responsibilities: </p><ul><li>Developing and maintaining an Enterprise Data Warehouse together with architects, requirement engineers, data engineers, data scientists and business specialists</li><li>Consulting our customers inside the business departments of Vattenfall and reach a high processes understanding in the energy and finance sector</li><li>Working with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our analytics</li><li>Support in creating and improving functional and technical design of current and existing solutions, creating technical specifications</li><li>Identifing and pin-pointing data quality gaps and improve data quality and plan to close them with your developments</li><li>Designing and building ETL processes</li><li>Preparing and performing go-live activities and create application documentation</li><li>Implementing traditional database &amp; DWH concepts to structure the data in the cloud, on-premise and hybrid to provide self-service reporting solutions in Power BI</li><li>Building data models and reports in Power BI technology</li></ul><p><strong>Location  </strong></p><p>Katowice/Gliwice/remotely in Poland </p><h3>Qualifications</h3><p><strong>Who are you? </strong><br/> <br/> As our Senior Data Engineer in Finance Analytics you will bring: </p><ul><li>Advanced knowledge of data warehousing principles and build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency and workload management</li><li>Experience in troubleshooting and maintenance production issues, process chains, and ETL</li><li>At least 5-7 years of working experience with Analytics &amp; BI tools and services, preferably in the Microsoft stack like Azure SQL, Data Lake, ADF, Snowflake, Databricks, SSIS, Premium Capacity and Power BI</li><li>A technical background with an understanding of how to build analytics solutions</li><li>Experience in designing and building ETL/ELT tracks</li><li>Experience in building and maintaining APIs</li><li>Familiarity with CI/CD, automatic testing and version control in Azure DevOps, ARM, GIT or similar</li><li>Data modelling expertise is beneficial</li><li>Hands-on experience with IT Architecture guidelines &amp; principles</li><li>Proven experience in working agile</li><li>Proficiency in spoken and written English is required. Dutch, German, Swedish or Polish are beneficial</li><li>Ideally you already have a good understanding of utility business processes and their IT landscape (SAP ERP, IAM, infrastructure and security regulations like GDPR)</li><li>Nice to have are examens like PL-300: Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst, PL-900: Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals or AZ-900: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><p><strong>Our offer </strong><br/> Good
