Metropolitan Companies seeks a Business Analyst to join our growing team! This role is perfect for someone with a strong foundation in data tools like Power BI, DAX, and SQL, who is eager to make an impact by transforming business questions into actionable insights and improving operational and financial performance across the company. This a fully in office role (no hybrid or remote) and we do no offer relocation services. Out of area applicants will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards for internal reporting and strategic decision-making.
• Conduct detailed data analysis to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for business improvement.
• Support financial analysis and modeling efforts to inform business strategy.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to gather requirements and refine business processes.
• Utilize SQL to extract, clean, and prepare data from multiple systems and sources.
• Translate complex data into clear and compelling insights and visual stories.
• Partner with operations, finance, and executive teams to drive data-driven decision-making.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reports and analytics.
• Recommend improvements to reporting processes and implement automation where possible.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Qualifications & Competencies

• Proficient in Power BI and DAX with the ability to build reports and dashboards from raw data.
• Working knowledge of SQL and experience querying databases.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical findings into business-friendly language.
• Ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels and across departments.
• Highly organized, with strong project management and multitasking abilities.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and focused on continuous improvement.

Education & Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Data Science, IT, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, or a similar role.
• Familiarity with financial analysis and modeling is a plus.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and Outlook.
• Background in working with ERP systems or business intelligence platforms is a plus.
