Position Summary
The Pharmacy Technician, Production Floor, supports pharmacists in the accurate and efficient fulfillment of prescription orders. This role involves hands-on tasks within a production environment to ensure medications are safely prepared, packaged, and distributed in accordance with regulatory and company standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Accurately fill prescription orders not processed through automation.
- Package prescription orders and accompanying documentation into envelopes, boxes, or coolers with ice as required.
- Assist with replenishing and maintaining the automated dispensing system.
- Stock and organize medications from purchase orders.
- Identify and pull expired medications for return to a reverse distributor.
- Support inventory management, including cycle counts and adjustments.
- Maintain a clean, organized workstation and production floor.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

- Strong verbal communication skills.

- Capable of performing tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Ability to lift, push, or pull objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
- Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays, based on department and industry needs.
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Registered Pharmacy Technician with the applicable State Board of Pharmacy.
- Demonstrated experience in a pharmacy setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in Retail, Mail Order, or Specialty Pharmacy.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Production/warehouse environment with exposure to moderate noise and machinery.
- Ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods.
- Ability to lift, push, or pull containers up to 10 pounds.
