Position Overview:

Zenni’s Human Resources team plays a pivotal role in acquiring top talent, providing a motivating and rewarding work experience, and providing the people and resources needed to achieve our goals. We are seeking a creative and positive Employee Experience and Engagement Manager to join our HR team! This role will be focused on culture and employee engagement, internal communications, and the overall employee experience at Zenni. This role will report to the VP of People Operations and work collaboratively within the department with our HR Operations and Talent Acquisition team to ensure alignment on key initiatives, philosophies, and approaches.

What we want you to own in this role:

Internal Communications

  • Develop and implement an internal communications strategy and channels
  • Work in conjunction with the Talent Acquisition team to solicit and produce “Life at Zenni” communications/videos and documents for employees and external candidates.
  • Ensure message consistency across channels, platforms, and for different departments, teams, and offices throughout the organization
  • Help drive engagement and a deeper connection to cultural values and company vision
  • Support change management communications (in partnership with the HR team) and handle internal messaging

Culture and Employee Engagement

  • Keep a finger on the pulse of our company culture and aggregate information to keep leadership and key stakeholders informed
  • Drive company-wide programs focused on employee engagement
  • Facilitate employee events and manage related budgets and vendors
  • Research and recommend tools and resources to support our culture and communications strategy
  • Manage and facilitate internal focus groups and feedback sessions
  • Act as a point of contact for emerging employee concerns and proactively address or escalate concerns
  • Propose initiatives, programs, or policies to increase employee satisfaction, engagement, and well-being.
  • Lead and facilitate discussion around issues and concerns impacting employees, make recommendations to address

Coaching/Professional Development

  • Develop and deliver learning and development programs that support employee growth
  • Work with the VP of People Operations and the HR team to develop and implement employee personal and professional development policies, coaching and training programs, and employee engagement/team-building activities

What skills do you need?

  • Minimum 5 years work experience in corporate culture and communications
  • Vendor selection, RFP, and vendor management experience
  • Strong customer service orientation with excellent follow-through
  • Able to build authentic relationships and establish trust at all levels
  • Tech savvy, familiar with modern software and technology
  • Experience implementing best practices with a clear impact on improving company culture.
  • Exceptional communication skills, able to speak authentically
  • Good judgment, flexible, and open to different approaches.
  • Trustworthy and able to maintain highly confidential information while exercising good judgment in seeking input from leadership.
  • Creative and organized with strong project management skills
  • Having a good sense of humor is a big plus!!
