Position Summary:

Looking for a research assistant with data analysis skills. The assistant will help a Desautels faculty in a project which involves statistical analysis of data set. Specifically, the assistant will 

1) Take a data set in JSON format with text data and apply natural language processing to create vector embeddings,   compute distance measures between embeddings, use modules like BerTopic to do topic modeling etc.
2) Analyze statistical relationship between measures from (1) and meta data.
This is a short-term position which has the possibility of becoming a longer-term or ongoing project. 

Qualifications:

1) Fluency with natural language processing modules like BERTopic in Python or equivalent in other languages like R.
2) Fluency with producing statistical analysis like correlations, ANOVA in tabular and visual form using R, Python or STATA.
