TRAVEL: approximately 40%-60% (will vary depending on workload; domestic and international)
LOCATION: Seattle, WA strongly preferred, or Arlington, VA
POSITION SUMMARY:
This role will lead technical, operational, commercial, and financial aspects of Nestle manufacturing sites directly associated to the Nestlé Coffee Partners (NCP) portfolio. This person will partner between markets and business units to ensure end to end supply stability and enable and build a pipeline of new products and capabilities.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Lead all start-up ventures and be the NCP operational lead for Nestlé manufacturing sites. Serves as the primary point of contact between the manufacturing facilities and key internal interface to drive innovation & renovation project execution.
• Collaborate with CoManufacturing Team on Make or Buy assessment.
• Establish rapport with manufacturing sites, SBU manufacturing and zone supply chain groups. Lead governance to ensure performance targets are adhered to – including attainment (e.g. APP, FTR), costs (e.g. usage, PPV), savings targets, and monthly variance reconciliation.
• Understand Nestlé compliance systems, QA procedures, product formulas, GMP's, MRP, development and maintenance of SOP's, and HACCP's.
• Drive the identification of opportunities for cost optimization via more efficient components in partnership with affiliate manufacturing sites. Ensure that a continuous improvement plan is in place to provide the lowest total delivered costs.
• Manage all affiliate manufacturing strategies to support the MBS for NCP.
• Accountable for accurate startup of new products at facilities, achieving agreed upon timelines. Ensure all required production related documentation including intermarket documentations are complete and available to all manufacturing sites
• Lead project coordination of cross-functional activities at manufacturing site to ensure project is executed against timelines and budgets.
• Ensure Annual Volume Commitment timelines are met for NCP to all markets
• Ensure flow of finished goods from Nestle manufacturing sites to US DC network. Identify and support resolution of manufacturing, logistics constraints by working with cross functional teams in both US and markets.
REQUIREMENTS & MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Food Science, Business Administration, or related fields required
EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience required
• Technical or manufacturing experience in CPG product, process or packaging development and/or commercialization required
• Experience leading a cross-functional project team to bring a product to market preferred
SKILLS:
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple demands & projects in an extremely fast paced, high pressure environment.
• Strong knowledge of Nescafe soluble portfolio
• Highly developed critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Strong verbal (English and Spanish), written, and analytical skills
• Ability to build relationships and communicate across multiple levels and multiple organizations
• Working knowledge of finance and plant costing
• Knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Office, PowerBI
• Broad technical skills and understanding in:
- Manufacturing process and product interaction
- Loss analysis
- Product development process and procedures
- Quality Assurance
- End-to-End Product Value Chain
