We have an exciting opportunity for a Product Stewardship and Sustainability Program Manager within our Abbott Rapid Diagnostics business. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with product stewardship regulations worldwide, including but not limited to REACH, RoHS, Conflict Minerals, and EPR.
What You’ll Do:
- Implement an effective, written product stewardship program to ensure compliance with Abbott procedures and regulations.
- Assess chemical registration requirements for chemicals/preparations prior to manufacture, importation, or sourcing within a region.
- Evaluate parts, products, and packaging for applicable chemical use requirements prior to sale and periodically thereafter.
- Collect and maintain part, packaging, and product information to support regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate data collection from suppliers and third-party manufacturers (TPMs), including product composition, Conflict Minerals forms, and compliance declarations.
- Contribute to the strategic planning process for product stewardship, including annual evaluations of program effectiveness and compliance through self-assessments, risk assessments, and updates on product and regulatory changes.
Education and Experience You’ll Bring:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering with 7+ years of experience in product support in areas such as R&D, operations, technical support, quality, or regulatory.
- Experience in product stewardship (e.g., REACH, RoHS) is preferred; otherwise, experience with regulation interpretation and compliance is required.
- Proven ability to work within a broader enterprise/cross-division business model, collaborating with R&D, operations, technical support, quality, regulatory, legal, engineering, and supply chain/procurement teams.
- Strong data analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and planning skills.
- Excellent judgment and the ability to build and maintain relationships with individuals and teams.
- Ability to thrive in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and effective follow-up.
- Willingness to travel approximately 5% to 10%, including internationally.
Preferred
- Experience in product stewardship (e.g., REACH, RoHS).
- Familiarity with product bills of materials.
- Proficiency in using Excel for data analysis and drawing conclusions.

The base pay for this position is
$95,000.00 – $190,000.00In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
