About the role

Inside the Role

As part of the Vehicle Configuration department within Product Engineering, the Compatibility & Project Order Processing group is responsible for maintaining the compatibility database for the Freightliner and Western brand family of vehicles as well as our virtual non-production and production orders that support the testing and validation of our projects. We collaborate with cross-functional PAR teams, to prepare and accelerate the maturity of documentation for new options and entire new vehicles. This group works closely with Sales, Engineering, Project Management, Product Strategy and Product Validation to create and update non-production orders to ensure a quality build that aligns with the project’s scope and meets the necessary timing requirement. With both tasks, our goal is to help increase efficiency in the order fulfillment process in both the Customer Application and Design Engineering departments and provide a reliable dataset that can be translated into rules required for DTNA’s dealer-facing specification tool, SpecPro. Our daily work environment is fast-paced and dynamic making accurate, robust, and easy-to-use data tools essential to delivering consistent, high-quality service to our internal and external customers.
