SUMMARY
We are looking for a Facilities Technician II who can field stakeholder inquiries and concerns and meet them with timely and quality resolutions. The Facilities Technician will perform repairs and maintenance as needed. Maintenance includes handyman work, spot painting, minor electrical, plumbing and HVAC repairs. They will have the support of our internal facilities department and contractors. The Facilities Technician II will serve as first responder to stakeholders needs and assess how best to handle them.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responding to facility inquiries and complaints, assessing problems, and taking the appropriate action while communicating to all parties
- Identify and perform or oversee repair of structures/fixtures, carpentry, painting, electrical/plumbing and assembly needs
- Oversee outside contractors to perform various facility related services, such as landscaping, security, HVAC, other maintenance, repair and installation services
- Develop preventive maintenance programs and maintain records
- Schedule and manage repairs and maintenance, minor works and other work requests, tracking to completion
- Maintain the interior and exterior of facility
- Move and assemble office furniture, pictures, blinds, wallboards; handle staff moves within the facility
- Maintain the safety and operation of equipment, such as fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, and fire alarms
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Minimum of five (5) years in maintenance, facilities management, and/or operations support.
- Knowledge of building systems such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire protection system, mechanical, electrical system.
- Ability to make decisions, resolve issues, and recognize when to escalate
- Strong and effective time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Ability to handle emergencies with limited supervision
- Working knowledge of building maintenance procedures and techniques
- Ability to operate and handle machinery, equipment, and tools necessary for maintenance and repair
