The Chowell Laboratory is seeking highly motivated postdocs to lead projects aimed at the field of computational immune-oncology. The candidate will work in close collaboration with other computational biologists, experimental and clinical investigators and will also focus on problems at the intersection of cancer immunogenomics, cancer immunotherapy, data science, and machine learning.

 

Goals/Outcomes of the Research Project: The main goal of the lab is to have an impact on human health through the use of clinical and genomic data, and computational tools.

 

Technical Duties: (include any protocols) 

  • Perform independent research in the area of computational biology, bioinformatics, cancer genomics, and immunogenomics.
  • Critically analyze data quality and results, communicate results to scientists and lay people.
  • Write or assist in writing scientific papers and grants.
  • Collaborate closely with other scientists to conduct research.
  • Present at Journal Clubs, lab meetings and mentor graduate students.

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. required
  • Experience working in a research laboratory setting

 

 

This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement between the ISMMS and the Sinai Postdoctoral Organizing Committee - UAW.

Compensation Statement

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $74,692.00 - $80,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
