The Senior Account Manager will oversee a diverse portfolio of clients, including health plans, providers, and their members. In this role, you will be responsible for building and nurturing strong client relationships, fostering trust and loyalty, and positioning the organization as a valued partner within the client community. You will also identify opportunities for organic growth within your portfolio while ensuring seamless collaboration across internal and external teams.

Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned clients, primarily large accounts.

  • Build and strengthen client relationships to retain and grow revenue.

  • Conduct client meetings, presentations, onsite or virtual visits, and training seminars/tradeshows.

  • Ensure timely resolution of issues, requests, and escalations.

  • Lead KPI discussions and contribute to contract/rate negotiations.

Program & Account Management

  • Oversee implementation, maintenance, and ongoing management of client solutions/programs.

  • Plan, organize, and manage resources to deliver successful client outcomes.

  • Develop and update program documentation, SOPs, quality assurance protocols, and compliance materials.

  • Coordinate program set-up, account maintenance, and tracking of success metrics.

  • Monitor risks and opportunities, providing feedback to leadership for process optimization.

Performance & Data Insights

  • Track and analyze KPIs and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.

  • Provide data trending, analysis, and reporting to enhance program effectiveness.

  • Forecast revenue and prepare performance updates for leadership and clients.

Business Development

  • Pursue new business expansion opportunities with current clients.

  • Participate in RFPs and complex negotiations with clients.

  • Independently manage simple contractual negotiations (e.g., price adjustments).

  • Communicate the value proposition of solutions to support ongoing contract renewal.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure compliance and quality.

  • Provide training, support, and direction to team members; serve as project lead as needed.

  • Manage complex projects involving multiple stakeholders, timelines, and deliverables.

 

Qualifications

  • Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (minimum 5 years).

  • Background in healthcare (insurance, benefits, managed care, or telehealth) and understanding of contact center operations.

  • Experience managing high profile /multi-million-dollar accounts.

  • Client & Communication Skills: Strong client focus and advocacy, professional demeanor, and ability to build trusted partnerships. Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear language.

  • Analytical & Problem-Solving: Strong critical thinking, analytical, and process improvement skills; detail-oriented with high business acumen. Capable of managing crises, balancing multiple priorities, and driving projects to completion.

  • Collaboration & Leadership: Effective in cross-functional and cross-cultural environments, with proven ability to work collaboratively and lead initiatives.

  • Technical & Organizational Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, email, databases, internet). Strong time and project management abilities with urgency and adherence to deadlines.
