Manager, Web Application Automated QA TesterThe Krazy Coupon Lady is looking for a Web Application Automated Tester and Manager to design, implement, and manage automated testing processes for our website and mobile app (iOS and Android). This role will ensure the quality and reliability of our platforms, while leading a team of testers.  This is a full-time remote position with a Monday-Friday work week. KCL will currently consider applicants who reside in the following states: Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Iowa, Minnesota, Ohio, Pennsylvania,  South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Virginia, or Wisconsin.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead and mentor a team of testers, providing guidance, support, and training. Collaborate with stakeholders to translate product requirements into clear, testable specifications.Create and implement a comprehensive test automation strategy, including selecting the right tools and frameworks, and designing effective test automation architectures.Design and manage comprehensive test plans aligned with project goals.Develop and maintain robust and maintainable automated test scripts using tools like Playwright and vitest.Execute automated test scripts, analyze results, and thoroughly document defects.Monitor web application performance and identify areas for improvement.Work closely with developers to ensure identified defects are addressed and resolved.Clearly communicate test results and findings to stakeholders, including developers and Product Team members.Continuously improve testing processes and practices to increase efficiency and effectiveness.Track key testing metrics and generate reports to demonstrate the effectiveness of testing efforts.

Qualifications

  • Technical certification in a computer or web related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years leading and mentoring a team of test or development engineers
  • Proven capability to manage and inspire a team of quality assurance professionals
  • Ability to guide and mentor junior testers
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with stakeholders and team members
  • 3+ years of experience in test automation
  • Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Familiarity with SDLC, testing methodologies , and the role of QA in the process.
  • A comprehensive understanding of automation testing principles, tools, and methodologies
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Analytical skills to identify problems, bugs, and develop effective solutions
  • Understanding of Agile and DevOps testing methodologies and frameworks
  • Experience with Playwright and Vitest website test automation tools
  • Experience with Appium, Katalon Studio, Ranorex, or TestComplete
  • IOS and Android app test automation tools
  • Proficiency in using tools like JIRA reporting and tracking defects
  • Familiarity with SQL and database concepts, and knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Ability to make sound decisions based on data and analysis
  • Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines

  • The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned
  • None: The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (as in typical office or administrative work)
