Mitchell Quarry - Rogers Group – Mitchell, IN

Full Time - Day Shift

Wages starting at $23.59 per hour, paid weekly. Higher starting pay may be available for experienced candidates. 

Mitchell Quarry is an open-pit limestone mine/quarry seeking an Off-Road Haul Truck Driver for our operation located in Mitchell, IN. The successful candidate for this position will have familiarity and experience operating rigid frame and/or articulated haul trucks and will have an uncompromising focus on safety excellence. This position offers a union environment with excellent pay, pension, and benefits.

• Operate stockpile trucks, stockpiling material into proper piles and/or be willing to operate articulated haul trucks to load shot rock out of the quarry and to the crusher.
• Perform daily pre-and post- inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies.
• Perform servicing and maintenance of equipment as trained and directed by management.
• Effective communication skills applicable to position.
• Operate equipment with a high degree of competency, skill, and proficiency.
• Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA / Environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment.

Qualifications

• Dedication to safe work practices.
• Previous experience operating both articulated and rigid frame haul trucks preferred.
• Ability to perform general laborer and clean-up duties on the ground and in the plant as needed/directed.
• Must be able to work outside in all types of weather and tolerate being exposed to loud noises.
• Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
• Must be willing to work overtime and extended hours as needed.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen.
