Summary:  This is an entry level position in manufacturing engineering, which will provide an excellent developmental opportunity in operations and manufacturing combined with practical hands-on projects contributing directly to the performance and success of the company. This position develops and improves manufacturing processes by studying product and manufacturing methods as well as drives product and process changes to reduce cost and lead time and improve quality and delivery. In this role, the incumbent designs, develops, tests, documents, and facilitates manufacturing process enhancements to achieve optimal manufacturing methods and processes with moderate to minimal supervision.

Education: 

• Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Certified Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt is a plus.

 

Experience:

• Must have graduated from an accredited college or university since May 2023, or will graduate by June 2024.
• Experience in manufacturing facility is a plus.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and Kaizens.

 

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Must be willing to spend time on the manufacturing shopfloor to learn and interact with employees.
• Ability to conduct Motion and Time Studies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills: able to develop and use structured approaches to identify root causes and recommend resolutions.
• Possess strong written and oral English communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously, while maintaining high accuracy and attention to detail.

• Basic PLC programming skill is a plus.
