So if you want to be part of a caring, supportive environment where you can realize your full potential, we’re with you.</p><p></p><p><b>Join our Team and advance your career as a</b></p><p></p><p>Trading Settlements Senior Analyst- Fixed-term</p><p></p><p>Trading &amp; Shipping executes physical and financial trades with external counter parties and customers, both on behalf of BP's businesses, managing physical supply and exposure; as well as for entrepreneurial purposes using market intelligence data.  </p><p></p><p>The role of the 3rd Party Team is to ensure trades are recorded and settled (payments and receivables) in an accurate and timely manner. This requires a thorough understanding of the deal life cycle (from trade execution through to physical delivery and final settlement). Transactions can be very high value and with complex terms and conditions, requiring efficient problem solving skills.  </p><p></p><p>The 3rd Party Settlements Team is responsible for managing operational cash and working capital on behalf of T&amp;S (c70% of bp's turnover is managed through the T&amp;S 3rd Party Teams). The team produces a daily cash funding forecast for Treasury Management purposes. </p><p></p><p>If the role supports US based activity, it may require some evening shift working </p><p></p><p></p><p><b>In this role You will: </b></p><ul><li><p>Manage a portfolio of 3rd parties for settlement of financial and physical transactions &amp; lead senior analysts through their BAU <span>activities.   </span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Accountable for the accurate and timely completion of Settlements activities within area of responsibility, which <span>include:   </span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Generate customer invoices and supporting documentation </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Settle all 3rd party transactions per contractual terms </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Ensure funds are received and paid on time and accurately; liaise with counterparties should any discrepancies occur; provide thorough explanations for any outstanding balances </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Provide accurate details of projected cash flows to enable BP Treasury to manage daily and weekly cash requirements </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Develop and maintain strong relationships with T&amp;S commercial teams   </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Ensure full compliance with the bp T&amp;S Settlements Policy  </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Ensure delivery of high quality customer service </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Manage aged debt and cash forecasting </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Deal with a wide variety of ad-hoc queries timely and escalate as <span>appropriate  </span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Identify and assist in delivering continuous Improvement ideas </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Provide exceptional internal and external customer service in order to build and strengthen <span>relationships  </span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Provide leadership and guidance to Settlement analysts, helping them to manage priorities </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Pro-actively seek and lead opportunities to standardize, simplify and automate processes to improve performance and efficiency within team scope </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Actively participate in, lead within team scope and support projects as appropriate </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Drive and participate in transformation and automation (CI) agenda </p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>What You will need to be successful:</b></p><ul><li><p>Relevant finance degree</p></li><li><p>3-5 years of experience finance or accounting </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Understanding of Accounts Payable and Receivable settlement principles </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>SAP experience </p></
