Cybersecurity Services Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Services Manager to lead both Cybersecurity Service Provider (CSSP) operations and Information Assurance (IA) programs. This role is critical to ensuring enterprise cybersecurity readiness, compliance, and risk management across federal environments.

 

The manager will oversee a team of ISSOs, ISSMs, and AODRs, drive CSSP enhancements, and lead IA initiatives aligned with federal mandates. This position requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to coordinate across stakeholders while delivering clear, executive-level guidance.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

CSSP & Cybersecurity IA Leadership:

• Lead CSSP-related initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic cybersecurity objectives and enterprise-wide goals.
• Oversee current operational practices, identifying and addressing gaps to enhance service delivery, performance, and compliance.
• Develop and institutionalize best practices for cybersecurity operations with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Drive collaboration across interagency, contractor, and partner environments to optimize cybersecurity posture.
• Deliver high-impact briefings and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Provide strategic advice on CSSP program effectiveness, risk posture, and performance metrics.
• Other duties as assigned.

Information Assurance Leadership:

• Manage and mentor the IA team, including ISSOs, ISSM, and AODR personnel, to ensure cohesive and effective execution of cybersecurity responsibilities.
• Translate federal cybersecurity requirements into practical, auditable operational processes.
• Oversee resource allocation and internal documentation related to federal standards and external audits.
• Support audit activities by preparing and reviewing documentation and ensuring procedural transparency.
• Promote policy compliance and continuous improvement across all IA functions.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements (Education/Skills/Experience):

• Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Clearance:
  • Active Top Secret clearance and/or ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance with an active Secret clearance. 
• Certifications:
  • CISSP, CISM, or equivalent certification compliant with DoD 8140 (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
  • PMP, PgMP, or equivalent program/project management certification preferred.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 15 years in program and project management within federal government or national security domains.
  • At least 7–10 years of cybersecurity experience, with 3+ years in a leadership capacity focused on Information Assurance.
  • Demonstrated success in managing cross-functional teams and leading operational assessments and improvement efforts.
  • Strong understanding of federal cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST SP 800-53, FISMA, RMF).
  • Proven experience in delivering executive-level reports and presentations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience managing or advising cybersecurity programs in a national security or intelligence setting.
• Familiarity with federal cybersecurity policies and interagency coordination.
• Background working with federal stakeholders, contractors, or highly regulated mission environments.
• Master’s degree preferred.

Place of Performance:

Work location is at the direction of the government, may be required to be performed at:

• Washington, D.C.
• Germantown, Maryland
• Las Vegas, Nevada
• Albuquerque, New Mexico
• …and at any other current or mutually agreed upon contractor or remote site.

Travel Requirements: Occasional travel may be required for team coordination, audits, or stakeholder engagement.
