Join our global Energy Transition team and work with us to close the gap to a sustainable future.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Your new role</strong></p><p>As our new Senior QRA Engineer you will be part of a strong team of 20+ Safety Engineers working closely together with colleagues in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, UK and India. The team is a good mix of younger and more experienced colleagues involved in interesting, challenging and varied projects in Green Energy transition, including greener fuels such as hydrogen, methanol and ammonia.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Your key responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Perform, lead and coordinate work for quantitative risk assessments (QRA) and fire- and explosions risk assessments (FERA) using QRA software (PHAST/SAFETI)</li><li>Develop guidelines, tools and templates within the area of quantitative risk assessments (QRA) and fire- and explosions risk assessments (FERA)</li><li>Build-up capabilities and guidelines, tools and templates for dispersion modelling and fire/explosion modelling using commercial CFD-software (FLACS/InFlux) in context of quantitative risk assessments (QRA) and fire- and explosions risk assessments (FERA)</li><li>Prepare safety documentation during engineering of projects (process safety and technical safety)</li><li>Participate in safety workshops on projects (including HAZID, HAZOP and LOPA workshops)</li><li>Evaluate risk and risk reducing measures according to the ALARP principle on projects</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Your new team</strong></p><p>Ramboll is the leading engineering, design and consultancy company and has more than 17,000 experts working across 35 countries applying their passion to deliver innovative solutions in markets as diverse as Buildings, Transport, Planning &amp; Urban Design, Water, Environment &amp; Health, Energy and Management Consulting. Whilst we look forward to supporting your continued learning and development, for this role we have identified some qualifications, skills, and capabilities that will set you up for success.</p><ul><li>Masters or Bachelors degree in engineering or Natural Science Education (e.g. Physics, Mathematics, Mechanical, Electrical or Chemistry)</li><li>Measurable experience as Technical Safety Engineer, ideally but not necessarily from the Energy sector.</li><li>A good understanding of mathematical modelling of physical phenomena (e.g. fire and explosion scenarios) and frequency modelling (e.g. event-tree analysis)</li><li>Experience with performing, leading and coordinating work for quantitative risk assessments (QRA) and fire- and explosions risk assessments (FERA)</li><li>Experience with relevant QRA software (e.g. DNV PHAST/SAFETI, Shell FRED, or Gexcon Effects/Risk Curves)</li><li>Experience with dispersion modelling and fire/explosion modelling using commercial CFD-software (e.g. Gexcon FLACS and Insight Numerics InFlux)</li><li>Experience with safety documentation during engineering of projects (e.g. safety philosophies, HAZID and HAZOP)</li><li>Knowledge of legislation framework for major accident hazards (e.g. Seveso-directive and COMAH-directive)</li><li>Experience in context of dialogue with Authorities (e.g. HSE in UK, DSB in Norway and equivalent)</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>What we can offer you</strong></p><ul><li>An outstanding opportunity to join our Energy Division, and team up with 2,000 experts in 14 countries, covering the full spectrum of technologies and all parts of the value chain.</li><li>Competitive base salary and benefits package.</li><li>Ongoing investment in your development.</li><li>Leaders you can count on, guided by our Leadership Principles</li><li>The long-term thinking of a foundation-owned company</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Work at the heart of sustainable change
