About the role

The ASA Data Science team is hiring a Data Science Director to lead a team focused on uncovering insights to drive better business decisions and customer experiences across our product portfolio.

You Will Get To

• Build and lead a world-class Data Science function that harnesses the power of data to inform Go-To-Market and Product Strategy.

• Set the vision for Data Science and manage the execution with the highest standards.

• Collaborate with team members across product, engineering, marketing, operations, and more!

• Use advanced analytics including clustering, propensity modeling, statistical knowledge, and other explanatory and causal inference techniques to gain a clearer picture of customer behavior.

• Translate analytical findings to resonate with industry partners to enable our next phase of growth.

• Build compelling data stories and visualizations to influence partners across the organization and beyond.

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.

In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $213,300.00 - $340,700.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC and may not be applicable to other locations.

In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.

Qualifications

• An undergraduate or Master’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g. mathematics, engineering, statistics, finance, or similar)

• 15+ years of work experience involving quantitative data analysis and complex problem solving. Experience working with product teams strongly preferred.

• 5+ years leading Data Science teams.

• A strong understanding of statistical concepts, measurement issues, and inference techniques.

• Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and either Python or R, along with some experience with Tableau, Mode, or other visualization software.

• Experience with ETL pipelines, scheduling and production data modeling is a plus.

• Experience with A/B Testing, Experimentation, or Causal Inference

• Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with building a Data Science organization in a B2B landscape
