Job Description:
This job is responsible for performing more complex analysis aimed at improving portfolio risk, profitability, performance forecasting, and operational performance for consumer products and related divisions, such as credit cards. Key responsibilities include applying knowledge of multiple business and technical-related topics and independently driving strategic improvements, large-scale projects, and initiatives. Job expectations include working with business counterparts within the Line of Business and partner organizations including Risk and Product teams.

Consumer Credit operational support leader with proven experience driving the strategy, vision, and execution of long-term operational growth plans aided by a stable business intelligence framework. Demonstrated ability to quickly digest complex processes and introduce solutions backed by data-driven analytics. Proficient in presenting complex topics in a clear and digestible manner to various levels of leadership.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs complex analysis of financial models, market data, financial data, and portfolio trends to understand product performance and improve portfolio risk, profitability, performance forecasting, and operational performance
  • Coaches and mentors peers to improve proficiency in a variety of systems and serves as a subject matter expert on multiple business and technical-related topics
  • Identifies business trends based on economic and portfolio conditions and communicates findings to senior management
  • Supports execution of large scale projects, such as platform conversions or new project integrations by conducting advanced reporting and drawing analytics based insights
  • Provide oversight of the quarterly staffing plan factoring in forecasted volumes and strategic initiatives to ensure line of business leadership has the appropriate resources to achieve enterprise goals.
  • Lead operational process revision efforts from initial research and development to implementation, providing credit and sales leadership operational capacity levers and recommend operating model changes to improve overall operational efficiency.
  • Drive reoccurring operational health routines with line of business leadership reviewing the status of key performance metrics. Deliver tactical solutions based on data-driven analysis for any issues / opportunities that arise.
  • Grow to manage underwriting and fulfillment operational and control reporting team. Responsible for associate performance reporting, operational health / KPI reporting, and process/compliance/regulatory control reporting. Balance reporting intake and analyst workloads to prioritize assignment of requests.
  • Partner with production leaders and enablement/technology partners to become a subject matter expert on the end-to-end operational process and data environments for each supported line of business in consumer credit.  Effectively utilize data and analytics to drive advanced solutions and provide leadership with the tools to proactively mitigate risk and identify operational opportunities/gaps.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in data and analytics is required
  • Must be highly proficient with SQL, SAS, and Excel
  • Critical problem-solving skills including selection of data and analytical approach
  • Experience providing thought leadership, developing deliverables, and working with limited direction on complex problems to achieve project goals
  • Highly motivated, proactive self-starter with a strong sense of ownership
  • Effective communication and influencing skills
  • Thrives in fast-paced and highly dynamic environment
