POSITION SUMMARY
The Assistant Desk Manager will help oversee the functions and activities of the Aspen Racquet Club in collaboration with the Club Manager.
As an integral part of the member services team, the Assistant Desk Manager will be friendly and attentive professional who strives to delight our members and guests by:
• Welcoming individuals who enter the club in a warm and pleasant manner
• Assisting with program registration, payment processing, and scheduling club services
• Helping with the pro-shop management
• Assisting Director of Tennis or other teaching professionals as needed
• Handling check-ins, addressing questions and resolving customer issues appropriately
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the facility to contribute to an exceptional facility experience
• This position primarily involves afternoon/evening and weekend hours but has flexibility
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Strong customer relationships
• Monitors daily work activities of the Aspen Racquet Club desk
• Maintains inventory of cleaning supplies
• Reviews court activity, maintains customer records, payment on file
• Markets and promotes club programs, leagues, and events
• Ensures club policies are followed by members, guests, and staff
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in office administration or related field preferred. Some knowledge of a tennis club or other sporting facility. Must have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, excellent people and time management skills, and knowledge of office management procedures.
Language Ability
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public. Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with internal and external customers.
Math Ability
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discount interest commissions proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, ORAL, diagram or schedule form. Procedures are established but conditions change; initiative must be exercised to overcome minor obstacles.
Computer Skills
Must be able to learn and use various training and development software platforms to take content and develop into effective training programs. Ability to use the internet to perform various types of research. Experience with Microsoft Office products including, but not limited to, Outlook Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
