SPECIAL NOTES:

Two (2) years performing contract management functions and/or two (2) years of performing compliance audits is required.

 

Preference:

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

 

Work schedule is 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, at the office in Tallahassee, Florida.

 

This position requires a security background check, including fingerprint as a condition of employment.

 

Salary Range $47,668.01 - $60,000.00.

 

Employees of the Department of Financial Services are paid on a monthly pay cycle.

Minimum Qualifications for this position include the following REQUIRED ENTRY LEVEL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of accounting and auditing principles and procedures.
  • Knowledge of the methods of compiling and analyzing data.
  • Knowledge of basic mathematics.
  • Ability to understand, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Ability to review, analyze and evaluate data.
  • Ability to perform technical analytical reviews and evaluations of audits.
  • Ability to develop and maintain documentation standards.
  • Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  • Ability to assist with procurement and contract management related functions.

 

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

Perform contract monitoring activities for Division contracts.  Review SSAE  (SOC 1 and 2) Audit reports for certain Division contracts, including working with Contract Managers on recommendations of the review, and making recommendations to management.  Assists with procurement and contract management related functions.
