Reports To: Lakeside Surgery Center ASC Manager
Job Responsibilities
- The Surgical Technician assists the director and administrator in the daily operations of the OR in accordance with established Federal, State and accreditation standards and center policies and procedures.
- Participates in direct patient care including maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe environment.
Education and Experience
- Current CST License
- BLS required
- Material Manager Experience and Life Safety preferred
- 2 years of clinical experience in a Hospital, Operating Room, or ambulatory surgery center preferred
Knowledge
- Customer Service
- English and Spanish Languages
- Computers and Electronics
- Microsoft Office
Requirements:
- COVID-19 Vaccination / Declination
- Standing for long periods of time
- Requires using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls
- Requires repetitive movement

- Ability to anticipate the needs of the physician and his equipment, medical gases, and supplies readily available for all procedures.
- Ability to scrub all types of cases, Ophthalmology preferred.
- Ensures that an adequate amount of in-house supplies and medical gases are available in accordance with the weekly caseload.
- Assumes responsibility for competency of practice and takes initiative for professional development and continuing education.
- Ability to adhere to an early morning work schedule and manage time appropriately
- Ability to utilize resources in a timely, organized, and cost-effective manner.
- Includes exposure to disease or infections
- Hands instruments to doctor in the operating room.
- Translates for a physician as requested.
- Make sure operating rooms are in order after each patient leaves
- Ability to make decisions that affect other people and/or the image and reputation of the surgery center.
- Requires being exact or highly accurate.
- Meeting strict deadlines.
- Adhere to company policies and protocol.
- Any other duties that may be required.
