Surgical Technician - PRN

Compensation: Commiserate with experience 

Reports To: Lakeside Surgery Center ASC Manager

Job Responsibilities

1. The Surgical Technician assists the director and administrator in the daily operations of the OR in accordance with established Federal, State and accreditation standards and center policies and procedures. 
2. Participates in direct patient care including maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe environment. 

Education and Experience

1. Current CST License 
2. BLS required 
3. Material Manager Experience and Life Safety preferred 
4. 2 years of clinical experience in a Hospital, Operating Room, or ambulatory surgery center preferred 

Knowledge

1. Customer Service 
2. English and Spanish Languages 
3. Computers and Electronics 
4. Microsoft Office 

Requirements: 

1. COVID-19 Vaccination / Declination 
2. Standing for long periods of time 
3. Requires using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls 
4. Requires repetitive movement

7. Ability to scrub all types of cases, Ophthalmology preferred.

9. Assumes responsibility for competency of practice and takes initiative for professional development and continuing education. 
10. Ability to adhere to an early morning work schedule and manage time appropriately 
11. Ability to utilize resources in a timely, organized, and cost-effective manner. 
12. Includes exposure to disease or infections 
13. Hands instruments to doctor in the operating room. 
14. Translates for a physician as requested. 
15. Make sure operating rooms are in order after each patient leaves 
16. Ability to make decisions that affect other people and/or the image and reputation of the surgery center. 
17. Requires being exact or highly accurate. 
18. Meeting strict deadlines. 
19. Adhere to company policies and protocol. 
20. Any other duties that may be required.
