Job Overview: The Finance Manager will partner with our Retail business and sales leaders to drive profitability through strong financial analysis and strategic insight. This position requires a highly developed analytical skill set with the ability to analyze and reconcile data, and work with appropriate supervision in completing the required finance functions. The Finance Manager works closely with the Sales leaders on pricing, new business opportunities, capital projects, and implementing profit improvement initiatives. The role requires the ability to connect facts and events that may initially appear unrelated but are critical to identifying, analyzing, and maximizing business unit profitability.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for understanding the business units' P&L and understanding all impacts to profitability
• Work with Sales Management in analyzing pricing and potential areas of opportunity
• Review business unit performance on monthly basis with management and provide financial analysis of variances
• Complete monthly financial analysis and other reporting/ad hoc analyses
• Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and monthly forecasting
• Assist with capital projects as needed
• Work with Sales on new strategic opportunities including costing and quoting
• Assist and partner with business leaders on implementation of profit improvement ideas

 Skills / Qualifications:

• BS degree in Finance, Economics, or related field
• 5+ years of financial analysis experience in a manufacturing environment
• Advanced knowledge of Excel, OneStream, and SAP preferred
• Ability to work independently
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal), and the ability to interact with all levels of management
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Self-starter with an inquisitive nature
• Ability to quickly learn and assimilate new concepts
• Technical aptitude regarding operating systems and ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
• Ability to address and resolve problems and issues as they occur
• Travel requirements up to 10%
