About the role
<p>Cloud Serverless Developers wanted to join an exciting project to rewrite one of the UK’s largest loyalty programmes, opening the door to new and innovative approaches to loyalty. </p><p><em><strong>This role can be based anywhere from the EU </strong></em></p><p><strong>Please note that this job is a contract role, we are open to fully remote but the selection process will be conducted in English. </strong></p><p><strong>Please send over your CV in English</strong></p> <p><strong>What you’ll be doing:</strong></p> <p>This is a great opportunity to get involved from the beginning and will require you to be comfortable working with serverless technologies in small autonomous squads within our experienced team of Cloud developers, platform engineers and data engineers. </p> <p>We keep our knowledge fresh by continually looking for new technologies and sharing what we’ve learned. As part of our team, you will actively enjoy learning new technologies and developing your skills, and will contribute to this process.</p> <p><strong>What we want from you:</strong></p><ul> <li>Developing complex AWS cloud-native serverless applications (AWS Serverless) </li> <li>Using AWS Lambda, preferably written in TypeScript, (knowledge of Node.js is useful) </li> <li>Using AWS Serverless products, including API Gateway, EventBridge, SNS, SQS, DynamoDB etc </li> <li>Implementing a range of integration patterns, from SaaS APIs to GraphQL to FTP. </li> <li>Understanding DevOps principles & VCS (ideally with experience of Monorepos & GitHub) </li> <li>Understanding an Infrastructure-as-Code language (e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation) </li> <li>Understanding traditional Design Patterns </li> <li>Test-Driven development, with a quality-driven mindset </li> <li>Communicating, with excellent written and spoken skills</li> </ul> <p><strong>If you know some of this, even better:</strong></p><ul> <li>Diagrams-as-code </li> <li>Understanding of modern authentication protocols (OAuth2, OIDC) </li> <li>Consideration of cross cutting concerns (e.g. Observability, Security) </li> <li>Familiarity with Mulesoft </li> <li>Contribute to Open Source projects</li> </ul><p><strong>What we do: </strong>At Wunderman Thompson we inspire growth for ambitious brands.
