Job Description:

Are you a FAR-compliant costing expert ready to take the helm of high-stakes government proposals? We are looking for a Senior Manager of Military Costing to drive the financial architecture behind our most critical domestic and international opportunities. Reporting directly to the Head of Costing and Offer Evaluation, you will bridge the gap between complex federal regulations and business profitability. If you have over 10 years of experience navigating FAR 12/15 and a knack for mentoring high-performing teams, your leadership will be the catalyst for our next phase of growth.

Our Finance and Accounting team members need excellent analytical and communication skills to optimally run our financial portfolio. We provide key analytics – from month-end closing to performance management analysis for our partners. A suburb just outside the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area is home to Airbus Helicopters U.S. regional headquarters, where we have more than 1,000 employees. Your Challenges:

Costing:  35%

• Oversees cost and pricing for a range of proposals to include both domestic and international opportunities and ranging in size of complexity. 

• Ensure costing information provided is timely, accurate and supportable in response to requests

• Act as primary point of contact for company responses to U.S. Government agency (i.e. DCAA) audits

• Collaborates with other departments to gather information needed in a timely fashion to meet deadlines

• Able to garner information needed from other departments in a timeline fashion to meet deadlines.

• Ensures functional areas understand what substantiation is required to support their estimates for each proposal

Business Cases:  35%

• Create business cases which provide management sufficient cost, margin and price information and analysis for proposed and established prices to support business decisions.

• Leads finance offer evaluation process to retrieve approvals needed for release of offer.

Staff Management and Development:  20%

• Manage, develop, mentor and coach staff to ensure staff exhibit company core values and behaviors, interact professionally with the team/company/external parties, and maintain and/or improve those skills and knowledge necessary to adequately perform their assigned jobs.

• Provides training as needed to colleagues on templates that could be used for gathering costing information for proposals.

• Foster innovative mind-set in order to continually improve processes and ways of working.
