Job Description Summary

This Head of Strategy will be responsible for the strategy formation for AVS and the sub-segments within AVS, with a focus on growth in core and adjacent market segments.

Essential Duties:

- Develop and articulate the company's overall strategic vision, including long-term goals and objectives.

- Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify potential opportunities and threats.

- Identify and evaluate new business ventures, partnerships, and acquisition opportunities to drive growth.

- Clearly communicate the strategic vision to all levels of the organization and inspire buy-in.

- Drive thought leadership among the team… coaching the other directors on strategy work

- On M&A transactions, help the business assess the strategic fit and clinical relevance, as well as participate in key parts of diligence overall. 

- Represent GEHC on boards in companies that we have minority equity interest and help guide companies to perform well while keeping GEHC’s interest in mind

Required Qualifications:

- Master’s degree or higher

- Minimum twelve years of experience and with a minimum of ten years of relevant business leadership or consulting experience

- Healthcare industry domain experience  

- Ability to analyze complex situations, identify key trends, and develop comprehensive strategies

- Strong data analysis and interpretation skills to inform strategic decisions

- Excellent communication skills to effectively present strategic plans and influence stakeholders

- Deep understanding of business operations, financial analysis, and industry dynamics

- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and build consensus across different departments

For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $252,000.00-$378,000.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
