$82,000 – 108,000

Multiple factors, including Individual experience, skills and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range.

The Job You Will Perform:

  • Assist team managing International Paper’s Forestry Chain of Custody (CoC) certification and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) audit and disclosure programs. 
  • Audit preparation technical support and administrative audit program management.
  • Work with multiple different departments and locations during day to day task management.
  • general support for the IP enterprise with sustainability inquiries, business requests, presentations, and data collection.
  • Assess employee engagement and education needs in sustainability, using the employee networking group, the Stewardship Action Network, as a key driver of employee engagement on sustainability topics.

 

Principal outputs and services include:

  • Assist with CSR audit and CoC audit program including task management, scheduling, audit data gathering, Internal audits and staff preparation.
  • First point of contact for CSR and CoC audit administrative functions.
  • Conduct remote internal audits of documentation for participating sites on an annual basis and participate in external audits of fiber certification and CSR programs.  
  • Maintain company information in CSR platforms (sedex, etc) and understand customer expectations regarding CSR requirements.
  • Review existing IP employee sustainability outreach, educational materials and engagement opportunities and develop programmatic elements that advance employee uptake of Vision 2030. Renew the Stewardship Action Network through collaboration with other IP sustainability leaders and advance the model and impact through targeted and measurable action.
  • Coordinate planning, of third party on-site audit program including  internal audit plans, audit scheduling, audit preparation, and communications on audits with contracted service provided. 
  • Work with businesses to develop annual internal audit plans based on customer demand.
  • maintain procedures and conduct internal training as needed to promote program efficiency with participating sites.
  • Interface with customers regarding audit schedule and protocols,
  • Maintain CSR Audit Sharepoint Site to streamline audit processes and resources.
  • Assist in gathering business data to input into our enterprise level EcoVadis assessment and other related CSR assessments (for example TenP, TfS, and customer-specific) as needed.
  • Assist in gathering and review of audit data for forestry audit reporting.
  • Review SAN model, benchmark external employee sustainability engagement programs, and propose improvements to engage IP employees with Vision 2030 education and implementation opportunities.
  • Assist with projects related to CSR, Fiber Certification, and sustainability as emerging topics arise.

 

The Skills You Will Bring:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a forest products manufacturing or corporate context.
  • Degree in Forestry, Natural Resource Management, Sustainability or related field preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with multiple staff in different roles across complex organizations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Understanding of basic audit protocols and requirements preferred.
