Operations Generalist

<p><strong>Job Purpose:<br></strong></p> <div> <p class="x_fa-lv8x8s"><span data-olk-copy-source="MessageBody">The role provides the opportunity to make an important contribution to the US Equity Operations team.&nbsp; The candidate will be responsible for middle and back-office functions in support of the firm’s US Institutional Equity Desk.</span></p> </div> <p><strong>Duties &amp; Responsibilities:</strong></p> <p><strong></strong></p> <div> <p class="x_fa-lv8x8s"><span data-olk-copy-source="MessageBody">Real time support of US Equity trade activity, including but not limited to:</span></p> </div> <div> <ul> <li class="x_fa-lv8x8s">Comply with T+1 settlement cycle mandates in accordance with SEC Rule 15c6-2</li> <li class="x_fa-lv8x8s">Process trade bookings, allocations, confirms, and ensure timely downstream processing</li> <li class="x_fa-lv8x8s">Collaborate with trading desks and firm counterparties to address and resolve trade discrepancies</li> <li class="x_fa-lv8x8s">Open client DVP/RVP accounts and ensure settlement instructions are up to date</li> <li class="x_fa-lv8x8s">Collaborate with firm counterparties and custodians to promptly resolve aged fails and unaffirmed trades</li> <li class="x_fa-lv8x8s">Assist in the firm’s daily EOD procedures</li> <li class="x_fa-lv8x8s">Escalate and assist in resolving operational risks to the firm (ie. Regulatory Notifications, Buyins and Corporate Actions)</li> <li class="x_fa-lv8x8s">Oversee daily and monthly trade, positions, P&amp;L, and commission reconciliations</li> </ul> </div> <p><strong></strong></p> <p><strong>Requirements &amp; Qualifications:</strong></p> <p><strong></strong></p> <div> <ul> <li class="x_fa-lv8x8s">Bachelor’s Degree</li> <li class="x_fa-lv8x8s">DTCC ALERT/CTM and WorkX/ORF knowledge</li> <li class="x_fa-lv8x8s">Team player with the ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks in a fast-faced, deadline-driven environment</li> <li class="x_fa-lv8x8s">Self-motivated approach to work and superior attention to detail</li> <li class="x_fa-lv8x8s">Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li> <li class="x_fa-lv8x8s">Proficient in the Microsoft suite of applications with strong Excel skills for data analysis and reporting</li> <li class="x_fa-lv8x8s">2+ Middle/Back Office experience at a buy side or sell side financial institution&n
