JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Administrative Intern of Stronger Connections is responsible for the planning, development, training, and support to administrators, teachers, and school-based leadership teams to facilitate implementation of the New York State Stronger Connections Grant. This Administrative Intern position will oversee six community-based learning centers for students who are on homebound instruction; monitoring services and supports and parent and student engagement. This Administrative Intern will oversee the continued implementation of a comprehensive, trauma-informed, collaborative approach to increasing school safety and developing and ensuring a positive school climate in ten SCSD schools. The Administrative Intern will work to ensure compliance with all applicable laws, code, regulations and SCSD policies and procedures. The Administrative Intern will collaborate with parents, community members, the SCSD central office, consultants, as well as other internal/external resources and constituents to implement new educational programs, school culture, systems reform, tools and other resources to accelerate student achievement.

Assistant Superintendent of Student Support Services and Assistant Director of Student Support Services
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Stronger Connections Administrative Intern will be expected to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Organize and Maintain the Stronger Connections grant in collaboration with Special Programs
- Work across multiple academic buildings, including high schools, middle schools and Pre K-8 schools.
- Oversee six Community-based Learning Sites for students who are on homebound instruction.
- Oversee the continued implementation of a comprehensive, trauma-informed, collaborative approach to increasing school safety and developing and ensuring a positive school climate in ten SCSD schools.
- Convene and preside over regular meetings of the Stronger Connections Grant Advisory Committee.
- Monitor progress toward achieving program goals and outcomes and facilitate the implementation of any necessary mid-course corrections.
- Facilitate collaboration with administrators and staff across departments (Office of Teaching and Learning, Student Supports, Special Education, English Language Arts and Math, English as a New Language) to ensure program fidelity and equitable access for students.
- Collaborate with community-based organizations to ensure the successful delivery of program services and supports.
- Monitor processes to ensure compliance and adherence to applicable district procedures, state guidelines, and federal regulations.
- Oversee the design and implementation of student unions in SCSD middle schools and any CREW responsibilities
- Organize, analyze, and identify trends in student progress and outcome data related to grant initiatives.
- Monitor and ensure adherence to program budget
- Prepare and submit reports.
- Attend regularly scheduled meetings as required.
- Perform other related duties at the request of the Chief of Student Support Services and Assistant Superintendent of Student Support Services.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Possession of a Master's Degree
- Minimum 3 years of teaching experience
- Adaptable to the complexities of the urban school environment
- Strong belief that all students can learn at high levels and focus on building this culture school-wide
