JOB TITLE: Project Resource Specialist


OBJECTIVE: The Project Resource Specialist plays a key support role within the Project Operations team, assisting in the execution of coordinating pre-construction resources, such as permits, utilities, postal services, along with project-related research. Working closely with the municipalities in the areas S.C. Swiderski serves, the Project Resource Specialist ensures key pre-construction objectives are met while fostering productive relationships with relevant stakeholders.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Conducts research on local permits, and utility requirements to support pre-construction planning.
  • Coordinates with city officials to obtain necessary permits, approvals, and compliance documentation for construction projects.
  • Communicates with postal service representatives to ensure accurate addressing and mail delivery logistics for new construction projects.
  • Tracks and monitors the status of permit applications and utility connections, ensuring timely completion for project readiness.
  • Prepares and maintains detailed records of all communications, permits, and approvals to ensure compliance and efficient project execution.
  • Collaborates with local municipalities to resolve any permitting or regulatory issues that may arise during pre-construction phases.
  • Facilitates communication between the project team and local authorities to ensure alignment on project timelines and requirements.
  • Reviews and maintains comprehensive project documentation, plans, reports and records.
  • Prepares and organizes pre-construction documents, including printing and distributing construction plans, technical specifications, and relevant project materials.
  • Provides occasional assistance with bid preparation and filing.
  • Assists with ordering, tracking, and sourcing as needed to support project requirements.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

REQUIRED

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 2 years previous experience in project coordination or administrative support
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required; ability to create and manage spreadsheets, track project data, and generate reports
  • Proficient in other Microsoft Office Suite programs, including Word, Outlook, Teams
  • Proficient in PDF-Xchange Editor or Adobe Acrobat X Pro
  • Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation to and from work
  • Prior working experience in the construction field
  • General knowledge of construction processes and procedures

PREFERRED:

  • Associate’s degree or higher in construction or business-related fields
  •  Familiarity with project management software such as MS Project, Sage Constr
