Job Description
The Manager of Business and Relations Partners supports the Director of Talent Acquisition & Relations in the execution of human resource strategies to support the needs of the business. Functions as an expert consultant and trusted strategic HR partner to business leaders by identifying and addressing key HR challenges and opportunities, providing guidance on escalated employee relation matters, conflict resolution, performance management, policies, and organizational and leader development. The Manager of Business and Relations Partners illustrates strong leadership skills, collaboration, integrity, HR expertise, and the ability to support the Director of Talent Acquisition & Relations in driving strategic initiatives that support the company's goals and objectives. This role entails overseeing and leading a team of HRBPs and Employee Relations Partner directly. This position requires extensive senior leadership contact. The incumbent will be highly skilled in verbal and written communication, with demonstrated success in building and enhancing a trust-based and collaborative work environment. The Manager of Business and Relations Partners effectively strategizes, coordinates, executes, and completes several projects at once, covering a range of HR-related areas.
Essential Functions
- Team Leadership: Leading a team of Business Partners and Employee Relations Partners in the delivery of HR and human capital strategy to the assigned client groups while growing the team, and developing the next generation of HR leaders. This will include but is not limited to employee mentorship and development, performance reviews, time off requests, and development and implementation of Performance Improvement Plans.
- Strategic HR Partnership: Establish an intimate understanding of the business, build and expand relationships with credit union leadership teams, and create close partnerships across HR centers of excellence (COE's). Assist with talent planning, learning and development, and performance management to promote engagement and a culture of continuous growth and development. Assist with Leadership Development, focused on comprehensive succession planning and strategic leadership movement. Partner with business leaders to help build leadership depth to support the succession planning process. Serve as trusted advisor & influencer by providing candid and unbiased counsel to create an interactive partnership. Build trust and credibility to influence leadership decisions as it relates to HR matters. Continuous HR Improvement & Change Management
- HR Compliance: Help oversee compliance and legal aspects of HR including Worker's Compensation, Unemployment claims, and ADA.
- Cross functional teamwork: Identify trends, risks, and opportunities within the organization and develop solutions in partnership with managers and HR leadership.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Partner with Sr. HR leadership and/or legal on complex HR concerns and provide business insight through data analytics and research to inform and recommend solutions to enable business growth.
- Bank Secrecy Act: Remains cognizant of and adheres to Ent policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act.
Qualifications
Minimum Formal Qualifications for this Position
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Organizational Development, Psychology, or a related field
- 7+ years' of generalist experience in the Human Resource field. 5+ of those years obtained at a Credit Union or other highly member-focused organization.
- 2+ years' of experience directly leading and managing employees
- 5+ years' of experience directly leading and managing employees Pref
Each year of relevant work experience may be exchanged for a year in a relevant degree program or vice versa. For example, a requirement of a bachelor's degree in accounting and 2+ years of account experience could be substituted for a high school diploma and 6 years of relevant accounting work experience or a master's degree in accounting and 0 years of work experience.
