Job Description Qualifications:

The Boeing Company is looking for a Test Bed Operations Maintenance and Modification Manager to join our team in Berkeley, MO. The Test Bed Operations team is focused on modifying, certifying, and operating experimental aircraft to be used as flying laboratories in order to acquire engineering research data for Boeing program customers. The selected candidate will be responsible for leading a team of flight operations mechanics and technicians in support of internal program test support activities and technology development efforts. This role is very hands on, requiring significant coordination between internal teams and with customers in a fast-paced flight test environment.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages and integrates employee activities across more than one discipline within Flight Operations

  • Leads processes to oversee activities related to the actual operation of aircraft or in direct support of flight operations

  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals

  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports

  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Manages, develops and motivates employees

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher, or equivalent work or military experience

  • 3+ years of experience in aircraft maintenance in a managerial or team lead role leading people and/or projects

  • Experience with flight test, flight operations, or system test

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with aircraft modifications, upgrades, or retrofit projects

  • Experience with maintaining military or former military aircraft

  • Hold a pilot license, mechanics license and/or inspecting authorization

Summary pay range: $141,000 – $190,900
