Job summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and committed administrator to join our Home Enteral Tube Feeding Team. You'll become an integral part of our small and friendly dietetic team. The role is busy and varied and we are looking for someone with excellent organisational skills, who will be able to work in a fast paced environment.
This is a part time position for 25 hours per week
Main duties, tasks & skills required
Most of the role is telephone based and the team are the first point of contact for patients accessing tube feeding support, so you'll need to have excellent telephone skills and on occasion be able to deal with difficult telephone conversations. The Home Enteral Tube Feeding Administrator will be responsible for answering telephone and email queries that come into the department, all clinic admin including the booking of appointments, sending out letters and other literature. You will liaise with acute hospitals regarding referrals and be a key link between the dietitians and our Homecare provider.

Qualifications
Essential
OCR Word Processing Level 2 or equivalent.
English and Maths GCSE (or equivalent) at a C or above or Level 4
Desirable
European Computer Driving Licence or equivalent
Experience
Essential
Knowledge of full range of secretarial procedures and software programmes including MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Access acquired through NVQ 2/ RSA 2 experience and/or relevant practical experience.
Experience of formal minute taking
Desirable
Experience of working in a healthcare setting/previous experience of NHS administration processes.
Knowledge and understanding of general medical terminology.
