Position Overview

Zelis Data Intelligence (ZDI), an enterprise team at Zelis, is seeking a driven and analytical Technical Product Analyst to join our Data Intelligence and Innovation team. The Technical Product Analyst in an internal facing role to support our engineering teams in the organization, analysis and delivery on data intelligence and discovery projects. You’ll be a key translator between business and engineering, gathering requirements, communicating status and timelines, and unblocking issues.  

We are looking for someone with data analysis and software experience, with an interest in growing into a more product focused role to help Zelis deliver on its roadmap. This role requires a patient and logical thinker and communicator, with an aptitude for technical understanding of complex systems.   

What You’ll Do

Responsibilities:   

• Become an expert in your product areas, acting as the go to person for other stakeholders before speaking to the technical data and data engineering teams

• Design, build and own repeatable processes for implementing projects  

• Collaborate with software engineers, data engineers, data scientists and other product teams to scope new or refine existing product features and data capabilities that increase business value, adoption, and user engagement   

• Create and monitor product backlog priorities, EPICs and user stories, including clear acceptance criteria and a ‘definition of done’

• Collaborate with Engineering teams to explore data sources (internal and external to Zelis) and define clear business requirements, source to target mappings, mapping rules, data structures, transformation logic, relationships and recommendations

• Collaborate with Engineering teams to validate and ensure deliverables meet with the ‘definition of done’

• Collaborate with Scrum Master to surface, address and monitor cross-team dependencies, risks etc.

• Collaborate with Scrum Master and Product Leads to create sprint / development plans that align resources with backlog priorities

• Ensure tickets and timelines are consistently updated. Follow up with technical teams on status and roadblocks  

• Track key performance indicators to evaluate product
