Job Description

Summary: The QA Tester is responsible for the development and execution of software testing plans in order to identify software problems and their causes. 

• Create and deploy test plans, scenarios, scripts, and/or procedures, and log results.
• Identify and catalog test requirements.
• Create testing programs that address areas such as usability, database impact, and software scenarios.
• Identify software defects and partner with the appropriate team members to resolve the issues.
• Create test schedules and strategies in accordance with project scopes and delivery dates.
• Review software documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, level of completion, and/or to mitigate risks.
• Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, or potential issues.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or similar, or commensurate experience. 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Requires a minimum of 2+ years of functional/manual testing experience
• Requires a minimum of 2+ years of experience creating and executing test procedures.
• Previous experience in the insurance industry strongly preferred.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment. 
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
