Service Advisor

Description

Duties and Responsibilities of a Service advisor - (other duties and responsibilities may be assigned): 

• Day to day responsibilities include greeting customers, listening to requests, scheduling appointments, estimating costs, writing effective repair orders, and documenting technicians’ notes and the work they performed. The service advisor will ensure customer service by working with customers to determine their vehicle issues and problems, determining the repair timeline, and working with technicians to convey the customers' concerns with accurate repair descriptions.
• Act as the liaison between our customers and service technicians.
• Advises customers about necessary service for routine maintenance.
• Maintains a clean and safe service drive area, free of dirt, water, leaves, snow, etc.
• Prepares a repair order showing time, cost, and labor estimates for service.
• Schedules service appointments over the phone and in person.
• Advises customers on the care of their cars and the value of maintaining their vehicles in accordance with manufacturers' specifications.
• Checks on progress of repair throughout the day. Contacts customers regarding any changes in the estimate or promised time, explains cost and time requirements in detail, and gets proper authorization before any additional repairs are performed.
• Maintains high customer satisfaction standards and maintains a professional appearance.
