Your New Role:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join our organization as a Sr. Principal Enterprise Architect reporting into the Technology Strategy and Enterprise Architecture organization. This role will play a critical part in building out a new Business Outcome-Driven Enterprise Architecture (EA) practice that is aligned with our business objectives. This is a senior position within Warner Bros. Discovery, a leading global entertainment company resulting from the merger of WarnerMedia and Discovery Inc. Initially reporting directly to the SVP of Technology Strategy and Enterprise Architecture, the successful candidate will leverage prior experiences building out EA processes and related tooling resulting in a world class EA practice in support of our company's growth and transformation.
Your Role Accountabilities:
- Provide guidance and thought leadership for the company in the areas of Enterprise Architecture best practice, solution architecture best practice, technology innovation, and business outcome-focused technology adoption.
- Lead workstreams related to the buildout, maturation and running of the enterprise architecture function including Enterprise Architecture tooling like LeanIX.
- Provide stewardship of architectural frameworks and guiding principles to guide technology decision-making and ensure interoperability, scalability, and security across our systems and platforms.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and advancements in technology to maintain a competitive edge and utilize that knowledge to continuously improve Enterprise Architecture processes and tooling.
- Provide exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strategic mindset and a passion for driving innovation and continuous improvement.
- Demonstrate strong business acumen and the ability to effectively partner with senior leaders and business stakeholders to understand and address their technology needs.
- Use persuasive communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technology concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experiences:
- Extensive experience (15+ years) operating within IT or similar function with an Enterprise level company. Focus areas must include one or more of the following areas: Enterprise Architecture, technology innovation, technology strategy, technology or solution architecture
- 5+ years operating within or leading a Business Outcome-Driven Enterprise Architecture practice with the focus of enabling business outcomes.
- Experience building Business Capability and Business Process Models in support of the Enterprise Architecture practice.
- Experience integrating Enterprise Architecture tooling with APM (application portfolio management) systems or other adjacent functions that support the enterprise.
- Deep understanding of Enterprise Architecture frameworks and methodologies, with expertise in defining and implementing scalable and secure technology solutions.
- Leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to guide high-performing technology teams and business stakeholders.
- Experience working in a global and multi-cultural environment, with the ability to navigate and influence different regions and business units.
- Experience working across business silos to gain support of a new process or function that resulted in a fruitful partnership (consensus leadership).
- Preferred experience authoring Enterprise Technology Strategies that articulate a 2-5 year vision with a pragmatic approach to achieving that vision.
