Position Summary:

The MRI Technologist Team Lead is essential for delivering high-quality diagnostic MRI scans and guiding a team of technologists. This role combines mentorship with hands-on responsibilities, empowering the team to provide exceptional patient care while upholding the highest standards of quality and safety.

Schedule | Hours:

• 40 hours per week
• Day shift, 8-hour shifts
• May require some night, weekend or on-call coverage

What the MRI Technologist Team Lead will Do:

• Perform a variety of MRI examinations and Administer contrast and barium.
• Coordinate daily operations, manage staff scheduling, and oversee workflow within the MRI unit.
• Participate in the hiring process and contribute to performance evaluations.
• Engage in ongoing quality monitoring, data collection, and compliance with accreditation standards.
• Collaborate with Clinical Engineering to ensure all equipment meets safety regulations.
• Assess educational needs of staff and facilitate training programs.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of MRI safety concepts and advancements in technology.
• Serve as a consultant for leadership, staff, and healthcare team members on MRI-related issues.
• Contribute to budget development and monitor departmental supplies and services.

What the MRI Technologist Team Lead will Need:

• Completion of American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) approved Radiologic Technology Program, or an MRI-specific curriculum
• Currently registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• MRI certification
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
• Certification or re-certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) within three months of hire
• 3 or more years' experience as a staff technologist in specific imaging modality
• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree
• Preferred: 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a Radiology imaging modality
• Preferred: Ability to interpret and monitor EKG tracings
