Senior Business Manager, Business Banking

Mō te tūranga | About the Role
Reporting to the Area Manager, you will work as part of a regional team to deliver consistently excellent customer experiences to our business customers from a range of diverse industries. You will assist customers with their banking needs (with a strong focus on lending) and ensure the products and services used by the customer meet their needs. As a Senior Business Manager you should also proactively meet unexpressed customer needs by suggesting other Westpac products and services that may be suitable.
Core responsibilities include:
Customer experience (including NPS) and pro active contact to help to grow overall market share.
Proactively assist with coaching, both 1:1 and team training
Collaborate across the Westpac business to ensure best customer outcomes are delivered.
Ensuring strong risk management practices.
Contribute your ideas and experience to the continuous improvement of Business Banking.
Bring attitude and behaviours to work that contribute to a high-performance team culture.

Comprehensive understanding of Business customers and their needs
Knowledge of the financial services industry, including 3+ years banking/lending experience, preferably within a Business Banking environmentSolid understanding of pricing, compliance, credit risk and security documentation and ability to interpret business financial information
Proven ability to build relationships with customers and a reputation for delivering excellent service
Highly developed business acumen and well developed negotiation skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Experience engaging with business partners across the wider bank
Ability to take ownership to act independently within agreed frameworks
Ability to build networks both internally and externally and communicate with confidence
Tertiary qualification in Business or Finance preferred.
