Who You Are & What You'll Do 

 

As an intern in the UFS Customer Development Operations team, you will have the opportunity to work with cross functional teams and cutting-edge technology to help deliver an impactful data engineering project. This exciting opportunity is based at Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey. 

You’re a Tech Savvy person YOU ARE A PROGRAMMER WITH KEEN INTEREST IN DATA ENGINEERING, ANALYSTICS OR DATA SCIENCE 

You're a quick learner: EAGER TO LEARN, YOU WILL DIVE INTO NEW TOOLS & CONCEPTS, ADAPTING TO EVOLVING NEEDS OF DATA PROJECTS. 

You're a strategy guru: EXCITED TO MAP OUT YOUR SUMMER PROJECT TRANSLATING THE DATA DRIVEN STRATEGY INTO EXECUTION. 

You're a dot connector: ABLE TO WORK WITH CROSS FUNCTIONAL TEAMS TO NAVIGATE DATA RELATED CHALLENGES, BRINGING YOUR FRESH PERSPECTIVE AND PROBLEM-SOLVING SKILLS 

You're a teacher: OPEN TO BRINGING YOUR KNOWLEDGE TO OUR WORKFORCE AND MAKING US BETTER WITH YOUR INSIGHTS. 

 

 

 

Preferred Qualification  

We're Looking for Someone Who has: 

  • Educational Background: Pursuing bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or similar technical domain. 

  • Knowledge of scripting languages like Python, SQL, R, or Scala. 

  • Basic understanding of cloud technology like Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a plus. 

  • Excellent Microsoft product suite knowledge including strong Excel skills. 

  • Self-motivated, positive attitude, takes ownership and initiative to identify and solve problems. 

  • Ability to gather and join data from multiple sources, conduct thorough analysis, identify core insights and trends, then effectively communicate and influence others with findings and recommendations. 

  • Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
