SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Senior Project Manager Diver position has the authority, responsibility, and accountability for ensuring assigned projects are executed professionally and in a timely and safe manner. To fulfill these obligations this person must satisfy contractual requirements, internal procedures and standards, and establish financial performance metrics.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Takes an active role in contract negotiations, project planning, project quality, and project profitability.
- Monitoring project schedules, forecasts, and budgets.
- Coordination and checking of engineering deliverables.
- Prepares and reviews job scope and estimates.
- Completes project management system documentation.
- Directs and/or performs the preparation of comprehensive engineering documents including inspection reports, design plans, and specifications.
- Monthly project status reports, change order, and invoices.
- Responsible for planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating projects.
- Participate in client/contractor meetings and resolving client/dive and management project ideas and helps to promote a positive relationship with all clients.
- Directs and supervises the work of engineers, technicians, drafters, and administrative staff.
- Actively promotes a safe work culture while upholding and enforcing safety standards.

- Technical knowledge and capabilities in area of practice.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering from an accredited school.
- Graduate from an accredited commercial dive school, Navy, ADC diver card, or comply with ANSI/ACDE accredited commercial dive certification.
- 10+ years in applicable discipline.
- 5+ years of project management experience.
- 5+ years commercial diver experience.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional Engineer (PE)
- Current ‘Fit to Dive’ physical
- Valid US Driver’s License
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited school
- Structural Engineer (SE)
- Experience with standard structural analysis software
- Project management or leadership training certifications

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS, WORK ENVIRONMENT & SAFETY
The duties of this position require the employee to regularly sit, stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear. This position may require the employee to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
