Job Description

The Marshall Operations Systems, Services, and Integration (MOSSI) contract has an excellent opportunity for a Data Management Coordinator (DMC) to support NASA Marshall Space Center’s Huntsville Operations Support Center (HOSC).

The HOSC is a multi-mission facility that provides the capabilities of a control center for multiple NASA missions, programs, and projects. The HOSC is uniquely structured and designed to provide mission planning and support and to provide NASA and its partner(s) and scientists remote control of on-orbit International Space Station (ISS) experiments and tests. Data generated from the on-orbit experiments and tests is collected and stored by the HOSC for future analysis. The HOSC’s systems are also used to collect, store, and allow for analysis of ground-generated data from similar experiments related to NASA’s Artemis programs.

The DMC provides real-time, front room support for timeline execution, configuration, and troubleshooting of the on-board payload network and video systems, as well as commanding interfaces for payloads. Tasks and assignments tend to be complex, non-routine and/or require a greater level of expertise. The DMC receives assignments in the form of objectives with goals and process to meet goals outlined. Duties are performed under limited supervision.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the operations of ISS onboard data and video systems to support payload operations.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of ISS onboard network and video systems as well as command systems that are configured, monitored, and managed to support real-time science payload operations.
  • The DMC team supports real-time operations seven days a week, twenty-four hours per day. 

Qualifications

  • BA/BS Degree with minimum 0 to 5 years of relevant experience, or minimum 5 to 10 years relevant experience.
