Position Overview

This position serves as the Central Receiving Coordinator  II for DoIT performing large scale storekeeping duties including, but not limited to, the receipt, inspection, stocking, distribution and tracking of a large and varied inventory for DoIT and the consolidated agencies served by DoIT. In this role, you will tag and enter asset information into an inventory system as well as conduct on-site and off-site physical inventories. This position serves as a lead worker, drives to off-site locations in the delivery and receipt of inventory and equipment and operates forklift, pallet jack, dollies, flat bed card, and pallet wrappers.

Essential Functions

30% Under direction, serves as the Central Receiving Coordinator for the Department of Innovation & Technology (DoIT):  

 

  • Performs large scale storekeeping duties which includes, but is not limited to, the receipt, inspection, stocking, distribution and tracking of a large and varied inventory for DoIT and the consolidated agencies served by DoIT. 
  • Maintains independent warehouses by developing and utilizing efficient stores and inventory methods and controls in allocation of proper bins or storage placement assignment.
  • Receives and signs for inbound property/equipment shipments into inventory.
  • Reviews and cross-checks equipment listed on the order specification and delivery/packing slips and compares with the actual shipment to ensure all proper quantity and quality of items are received, and inspects for damages, marks as such, and notifies warehouse manager regarding incomplete deliveries to resolve order discrepancies. 
  • Prepares stock records, receiving reports and all other inventory and storekeeping reports.
  • Processes approved assets by applying appropriate DoIT inventory asset tags to equipment in a visible location.
  • Delivers equipment and supplies to proper bin or storage placement assignment in the warehouse.
  • Drives to off-site locations in the delivery and receipt of inventory and equipment.
  • Prepares shipping documents and packages equipment to ship to various off-site locations and Drop ships equipment utilizing specialized carrier shipping software and services.
