ASSOCIATE PRODUCT MANAGER

Job Summary

The Associate Product Manager is a key member of the OPEN Health Digital Products team. They manage the ongoing health and execution of several proprietary digital products (platforms) that are integral to the projects that OPEN Health delivers for its pharmaceutical clients.

The Associate Product Manager is responsible for coordinating with key stakeholders to achieve successful digital product delivery. Collaboration is a key element of the role, including with team members, internal client services teams, external clients and third-party technology partners. Establishing and maintaining these excellent relationships is critical to the success of this position.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Functions of this job include but are not limited to:

  • Being responsible for leading several digital products, including the following (note, these are specific to OPEN Health; training will be provided):
    • An asynchronous engagement platform
    • A patient speaker portal
    • A survey feedback platform
    • Event registration sites
  • Supporting requirements gathering and execution of new projects, on-time and on-budget. This includes tasks such as:
  • Managing an inbox of incoming enquiries from Client Services teams
    • Leading on asset collection (e.g., collating files and uploading them to the platform)
    • Liaising with the internal software developers on functional elements
    • Performing quality assurance (QA) testing
    • Collecting and monitoring change requests from internal and client teams
  • Supporting on internal knowledge management and upselling of OPEN Health digital products. This includes tasks such as:
    • Conducting product training and demos for internal teams, to increase their awareness of the products and their use cases
    • Managing support and training documents for internal users
    • Drafting slides for client-facing proposals and pitches for senior management review
    • Providing end-user support to ensure users can complete tasks correctly within the platforms
    • Recommending product enhancements to improve user experience
    • Monitoring and reporting on user feedback to feed into longer-term product roadmaps

Experience, Skills, and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Digital Project Management qualification
  • 3+ years of project management experience OR product management experience – both preferably in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Knowledge and proficiency of job-related computer software and applications such as MS365 including Word, PPT, Outlook, Teams and Excel with an emphasis on spreadsheets, database and reporting tools
  • Awareness of web technologies (e.g., HTML5, .NET, AngularJS) OR hands-on technical experience with digital platforms e.g., Content Management Systems, back-end asset upload etc.
  • Familiarity with project management and/or resourcing tools e.g., Toggl, JIRA, Asana
  • Ability to document and assess data to help drive required technical service needs
  • Good communication skills and the ability to proactively engage others, including clients, colleagues, vendors and leadership
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Effectively plan, organize, and schedule tasks to ensure milestones are delivered on-time, on-budget and within compliance guidelines
  • Keep internal software development team on task and carry out or deliver tasks independently to meet goals/objectives
  • Generate and communicate clear priorities, independently drives core activities, effectively gathers and incorporates feedback
  • Adjust quickly to changing priorities and conditions; effectively cope with complexity and change
  • Strong understanding and use of problem-solving methods; proactive along with strong perception and decision-making skills
  • Ability to compare, contrast, and quality check work with a keen attention to detail
  • Ability to present numerical data orally and in writing including tables, charts and graphics

Travel Requirements

  • Occasional travel to US-based OPEN Health offices (New Jersey or Chicago) for essential meetings (e.g., maximum once per quarter, but likely to be less)
  • Occasional travel to attend client pitches (e.g., maximum once per quarter, but likely to be less)
