Job Description
Essential Functions:
- Design code and systems that touch 40% of the world population while influencing Visa’s internal standards for scalability, security, and reusability
- Collaborate multi-functionally to create design artifacts and develop best-in-class software solutions for multiple Visa technical offerings
- Actively contribute to product quality improvements, valuable service technology, and new business flows in diverse agile squads
- Develop robust and scalable products intended for a myriad of customers including end-user merchants, b2b, and business to government solutions.
- Leverage innovative technologies to build the next generation of Payment Services, Transaction Platforms, Real-Time Payments, and Buy Now Pay Later Technology
- Write and execute detailed test strategy, test plans and test design documents based on requirements.
- Design and build scalable automated test frameworks and test suites working across technologies.
- Use data driven tests to validate API calls in large n-tier architectures.
- Perform system diagnostics and research to analyze and resolve problems in both the test and production.
- Take ownership of one or more aspects of the Test and Automation Engineering Strategy and vision for the Visa Direct platform.
- Work closely with Engineering and Business stakeholders to communicate impacts by thoroughly understanding business requirements.
- Design and build Continuous Integration and Delivery pipeline by integrating automation routines.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 5+ years of relevant work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
- 3 or more years of experience with writing and executing detailed test strategies, test plans and test design documents based on requirements.
- Experience with designing and building scalable automated test frameworks and test suites working across technologies.
- Experience with participating in product design discussions along with Dev Leads and Architects.
- Experience using data driven tests to validate API calls in large n-tier architectures.
- Experience with Quality Assurance processes and methodologies.
- Deep knowledge of Data Structures, Algorithms, Object-oriented Programming, Databases.
- Hands-on Java programming, Automation Scripting, White box testing experience in JAVA & TestNG/ JUnit
- Experience with Selenium or similar software testing framework.
- Experience in building and executing automated and performance tests for REST based services.
- Hands-on experience working with databases Oracle and/or MySQL
- Experience testing software at API level using TestNg, SOA suite, SOAP UI, PostMan, REST Client etc.
- Familiarity with Continuous Integration (CI) tools such as Jenkins.
- Hands-on experience with IntelliJ, Eclipse or other IDE development tools.
- Experience with distributed source control systems such as Git.
- Familiarity with performance testing using Jmeter or similar tools.
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
