Responsibilities
Peraton is hiring a Test Engineer in San Diego, CA.
What you will do:
- Design comprehensive test plans and test cases to validate the functionality, performance, and security of the CCS software
- Develop and maintain an automated testing framework and test scripts using industry-standard tools and technologies
- Execute tests, analyze results, log defects, and work closely with developers to resolve identified issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, systems engineers, and subject matter experts, to understand requirements and ensure thorough test coverage
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on software design and testability
- Stay up-to-date with emerging testing methodologies, tools, and industry best practices
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members on testing principles and techniques
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible for U.S. Secret Security Clearance.
- Education: 5 years of experience with BS/BA; 3 years of experience with MS/MA; 0 years of experience with PhD
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on automated testing
- Proficient in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C++, C#)
- Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Pytest, JUnit, NUnit)
- Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall)
- Knowledge of testing techniques, such as unit testing, integration testing, system testing, and regression testing
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Experience with unmanned vehicle systems or similar complex software systems is a plus

Target Salary Range
