Test Engineering, Lead Associate

Responsibilities

Peraton is hiring a Test Engineer in San Diego, CA.

 

What you will do:

• Design comprehensive test plans and test cases to validate the functionality, performance, and security of the CCS software
• Develop and maintain an automated testing framework and test scripts using industry-standard tools and technologies
• Execute tests, analyze results, log defects, and work closely with developers to resolve identified issues
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, systems engineers, and subject matter experts, to understand requirements and ensure thorough test coverage
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on software design and testability
• Stay up-to-date with emerging testing methodologies, tools, and industry best practices
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members on testing principles and techniques

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible for U.S. Secret Security Clearance.
• Education:  5 years of experience with BS/BA; 3 years of experience with MS/MA; 0 years of experience with PhD
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on automated testing
• Proficient in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C++, C#)
• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Pytest, JUnit, NUnit)
• Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall)
• Knowledge of testing techniques, such as unit testing, integration testing, system testing, and regression testing
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Experience with unmanned vehicle systems or similar complex software systems is a plus

Target Salary Range

$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
