About the role

Job Description Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented CT Team Leader to assist the CT Manager with overseeing daily operations of the CT department. This role is responsible for leading a team that conducts CT scans of pedigree chickens to collect high-quality imaging data used by the Genetic Selection Team. The CT Team Leader ensures that equipment, processes, and staff operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with biosecurity protocols.

Job Description:

Applicants are not allowed to own any kind of birds due to the risk of possible disease transmission.

This position is typically a Monday – Friday dayshift position

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate the CT team in capturing CT images of chickens for genetic selection research.
  • Collaborate closely with CT Manager and genetics staff to ensure accurate and timely data collection.
  • Set up, operate, and maintain CT scanning equipment, including performing breakdowns and cleanings with CT team.
  • Oversee the downloading, organization, and secure deletion of imaging files.
  • Monitor team performance, provide guidance, and ensure adherence to health, safety, and biosecurity standards.
  • Assist with coordinating work schedules across a two-week rotation between five grow farms.
  • Serve as the point of contact for troubleshooting equipment or process issues.
  • Support departmental goals and perform additional duties as assigned by the CT Manager.

Qualifications & Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training preferred.
  • Prior leadership or team coordination experience strongly preferred.
  • Team-oriented with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills; ability to learn and operate imaging software.
  • Some mechanical/electrical aptitude for troubleshooting equipment.
  • Must be self-motivated, organized, and goal-oriented.
  • Current driver’s license and willingness to travel between grow farms with team. (5 Locations)
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
