Overview
Responsible for coordinating assigned technology procurement activities across the company including software licenses, hardware, consulting, and hardware/software maintenance and negotiating with vendors to secure advantageous terms.
Responsibilities
- Independently lead procurement sourcing efforts including but not limited to:
- Identifying, negotiating, and executing cost-saving opportunities via advanced procurement strategies such as vendor consolidation, RFx execution, contract renegotiation, and service adjustments.
- Soliciting bids from multiple vendors and recommend preferred vendors based on comprehensive analysis including total cost of ownership (TCO).
- Partnering with Legal and Security departments to review contracts, service agreements, and term sheets, ensuring alignment with risk mitigation efforts and compliance requirements.
- Manage ongoing procurement support efforts, including:
- Management and tracking of software licenses and usage.
- Assisting project leaders in expense auditing.
- Supporting the PO and invoice match process, including PO issuance and order approvals.
- Able to maintain workflow automation to optimize procurement processes including:
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.
- Communicate and partner effectively with internal customers to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- 3-5 years of professional experience related to SaaS contracting and/or procurement.
- Experience with Zip or other procurement workflow management tools.
- Work experience in an environment where workflow software drives operations.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
- Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and manage quickly changing priorities.
- Self-driven with ability to take initiative and ask questions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Extensive contracting experience a big plus (paralegal work for instance)
- CPSM or similar certification
- Familiarity with SaaS technology management and terminology
- Familiarity with Scrum / Agile methodologies
- Proficiency in Notion
- Prior experience demonstrating ability to work in a remote work environment.
