Job Description

The Senior Financial Analyst will play an integral role in managing financial operations for the Programming Acquisitions team, which supplies the Entertainment networks with acquired series and films from all major studios.  This individual will support financial analysis for all of the NBCU Entertainment brands, including Bravo, E!, Oxygen, USA, Syfy, Universal Kids as well as Peacock, and reports to the Director of Finance.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with all financial aspects of Programming Finance, including the P&L and Balance Sheet; Responsibilities include budget, pacing, variance analysis, and monthly close
  • Work closely with Programming Acquisitions team to track ongoing deals and ensure financial pacing reflects the latest deal terms
  • Collaborate with Strategy, Research, and Acquisitions teams to evaluate new content through the financial pro forma process
  • Manage film inventory analysis across portfolio to inform decision making around new acquisitions
  • Support controllership team with monthly close activities, ensuring accuracy of the data and working with operators to resolve any discrepancies
  • Manage and track all acquisitions cash; Provide payment schedules as deals are closed, work closely with AP Coordinators on outgoing payments, and approve invoices
  • Assist with financial consolidation for all of Peacock content for reporting, analysis, and various supplementals
  • Evaluate and implement ways to drive automation, standardization, and simplification across all areas

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • 2+ years experience in a Finance and/or Accounting role
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, with experience working with complex models and formulas

Desired Characteristics:

  • Strong interest in the media industry; Previous experience a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects
  • Detail-oriented and a critical thinker with strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ownership abilities; willingly takes initiative and is self-motivated, requiring minimal supervision
  • Thrives in a cross-functional team environment and willing to partner with and support others to achieve goals

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

Salary range: $70,000 - $95,000
