Food Services Assistant II

Prepares and delivers food trays to patients, processes meal requests, and assists customers. Uses hospital computer systems for meal orders and interacts with patients, staff, and customers.
Education & Experience:- Required: High School Diploma or GED
- Preferred: 2+ years of food service experience
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Knowledge of food service operations and sanitation standards
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Basic math, cash handling, and computer skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks (lifting up to 50 lbs.)
- Food Preparation: Assists with cold food prep, baking, and grill support
- Tray & Order Management: Prepares and delivers patient and customer trays
- Sanitation: Cleans kitchen, dishware, and work areas
- Cash Handling: Processes customer payments and maintains a balanced cash drawer
- Patient Support: Enters diet and meal orders, assists patients with meal choices
- Teamwork & Professionalism: Resolves customer concerns, upholds workplace standards
- Maintains safety, hygiene, and patient confidentiality standards
- Adheres to corporate compliance, HIPAA, and safety regulations
- Completes required training and competency assessments
